All Hallow's Eve

10/19/2012

It's gettin' colder out, the leaves are starting to change color, and bars and liquor stores are filled with all kinds of pumpkin beers. This can only mean one thing: Halloween is upon us and, in the spirit of this most hallowed of holidays, we here at 4PR Inc. have really pulled out all the stops.

As some of you may know, there's a tradition of Boston local musicians not only dressing up as their favorite bands and musicians, but learning their music as well. Last year, we played a raunchy set as The Sex Pistols. This year, we've opted for something a wee bit more difficult. We have chosen to go as those jangle-happy troubadours The Smiths.

Or, de Smiffs as they're known across the pond.
Yes, for the past month or so, we've been slaving away in our practice space, chipping away at our favorite Smiths tunes--practicing, rinsing, repeating; dissecting them, seeing what makes them tick. This has been no easy task, as any self-respecting Smiths fan will know, but we are a better band for it. After much blood, sweat, and tears, we've built up a solid set list and, if we do say so ourselves, we sound damn good doing it! Now, we're ready to show off all our hard work. Wanna see for yourselves? Here's how:

On SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27th, at 8PM come to a FREE (yes, FREE!) BASEMENT PARTY in EAST BOSTON!

That's right. We're going underground for this gig.

Our friends Elephants, the night's openers, will play what is sure to be a raucous set as The Clash starting at 7:30pm. Our BFFs, Giantist, will close the night at 9:00pm, playing as the Neil Young-fronted band Crazy Horse...that is, with your humble Four Point Restraints in between of course.

The address is 11 Falcon St, Boston, MA. 02128. For you T-riders, take the Blue Line to Maverick Station. From there, it's about a 15 minute walk. Or, a 5 minute ride on the 114 Bus. We'll also have friends with vehicles on hand to shuttle people over from the station.

One more thing: It's BYOB, but judging by the company we keep (cough-Giantist-cough) a shortage of booze this night will be the least of your worries, so come out and celebrate. Wear a costume if ya want, it's is Halloween after all.
Cheers,

4PR
